I realize I have been a really bad blogger lately. Life has been very busy and I hope it slows soon! I have been getting some knitting done in the evenings – it is such a great way to unwind after a busy day. I finished my forest scarf and it is surprisingly warm, despite its petite length and lace weight yarn. I love the color. Malabrigo is definitely on of my favorite next-to-the-skin yarns.

Pattern: Scarf with the striped border from Weldon’s, Volume 5, 1890 from Victorian Lace Today by Jane Sowerby. I love the pattern, but I expanded the lace border section a bit by casting on 31 stitches instead of 25. When I make this scarf again, I will make it a bit longer than the pattern calls for.

Yarn: Malabrigo laceweight in Vaa – a beautiful, rich forest green.

    Needles: Size 7 bamboo straight.

More details can be found on my Ravelry page.

If any of you in blogland are looking for a great Christmas present for a knitter, I have some project bags in my shop with more coming soon! These boxy little bags are perfect for sock or lace knitting. I can even knit with the bag holding my yarn and dangling from my wrist – so convenient! These are also great for knitters and non knitters alike as cosmetic cases or notions pouches. I love doing custom orders, so if you do not see what you like or if there is a bag you like in my sold items category, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to acomodate you. I ship orders within two business days of receiving them.
