I finished and blocked my melon shawl on Friday, then wore it proudly on Saturday. This was the easiest shawl I have ever knitted. The body pattern is a simple six row repeat that is easily memorized. I did change the edging pattern, as I did not really like the one shown on the cover of the book. I was inspired by Grumperina and used the narrow point border pattern from the back of the book. I started the shawl about three weeks ago, but I took a week off to work on another project, so it only took me about two weeks to knit.
